stuck on enigma2 loading

hi all,ive got a dm800hd pvr.the problem is whilst drunk not me but someone has by how it looks they have done a factory reset.the box is now stuck on enigma2 loading,it also wont connect to dcc i have checked the ip by holding the button in.is there something i need to connect dm 800 to my laptop direct or is it bricked.thanks if you can help.

Put the box in stop mode. I pull plug then hold the front power button then plug in power at back. The keep power button pressed till you see STOP, hen once you ip, the enter in to browser and reflash with the appropriate image.

ty not at home right now but will give it a try and let you know how i get on.one question how do you put it on stop mode mate and thnx again.sorry being a div just read up on it ty so much give it a go soon.

It's in the post mate. pull power from back. Then hold in front power button. Then plug in power at back whilst holding the front button and wait to see stop on front screen.

hi tried that when i got back tried it through dcc put in the ip it is on the stop page,but it wont let me connect via internet any ideas why?also got it wrong its stuck on start enigma...right now in getting dreambox login failed would it have reset my password if so tried both and no good.

forget DCC.

Your going to flash the box again via the browser.

You need to have the box connected to your router.

Once you see the **STOP** the router will assign an IP which will be displayed in the OLED.

Enter that IP to internet explorer.

You will then be given a option near bottom of the screen to flash firmware.

No worries.

Depending on what image your installing will depend on what you need to add cam/plugin wise.

I prefer PLi Jade for the dm800

mate ive made a MISTAKE GRRR ive put the wrong image on there i downloaded one off a website and now im getting error1 no ca found im such a doughnut now i cant connect to delete it now im really stuck.any ideas sorry ive never done this before and ty.think i need a cross over cable now?

I am facing the exact same problem today! I made a firmware restart and now the Dreambox gets stuck on the "Starting Enigma II"- screen. Annoying as BLEEP! I've tried the "unplug-hold start- thing" but when I type the IP displayed on the DB-screen into my browser it just says "page couldn't be found". Anyone know how to fix this? Maybe it's some browser- setting that prevents me from doing this.... Thanks n advance/Rabona.

try a diffrent browser mate,sometimes clearing browser history could help.i use google chrome or fire fox.
