Cant find hotbird channels DM800 HD (TUNER problem?)

    Cant find hotbird channels DM800 HD (TUNER problem?)

    Hey everyone, i have a strange problem in my DM800, tried to look around in the forum but found nothing helpful.

    I have DM800HD connected to AMOS4.0W and HOTBIRD, for some reason i can only watch and scan amos channels, i tried every tuner configuration but nothing helps.

    more info :
    i connected another reciever and could scan and watch hotbird

    my problemic reciver is DM800 HD with openPLI , bootloader SSL85B

    when i go to satfinder and go to HOTBIRD it does show SNR(i think)

    i tried to config my 2 lnbs for hotbird and scan and it STILL find me amos channel? how can it be ?

    my opinion was that the tuner is bad but i guess its not if i can watch AMOS ..
    any suggestions ?

      Try doing a manual scan using one of the frequencies here:


      Hot Bird 13A / Hot Bird 13B / Hot Bird 13C (13E) - All transmissions - frequencies - KingOfSat

      This should at least allow you to establish whether you can tune hotbird. If you can then its something to do with your setup. I might need to select advanced, multi lnb or something.

          tried to manual scan, for example : 10815 H 27500
          and got results from AMOS sattelite.. how can it be ? HOTBIRD was selected for sure..
          it looks like AMOS overlaps hotbird or somthing..

              I would have a look at your diseqc switch or even your diseqc configuration in your dreambox as it appears its not switching from LNB1 to LNB2 and vice versa

                  Hi there sorry to hijack this thread but have a similar problem. I have a Dreambox 800hd se and my block has recently installed a satellite which can recieve skyUK and Hotbird.

                  I am trying to search for Hotbird channels but when I scan it just finds the Astra channels even though it says Hotbird. I believe it is something to do with the diseqc settings as someone above mentions.

                  Anyone familiar with these settings? I am a completly new to this so if anyone can help would really appreciate it!
