Ferrari Sim

Hi

I have ordered a Ferrari Sim and I am now a little confused, I was led to believe that I could use any Ferrari DM800 image but I need a little help.

What images can I safely flash to my old DM800 BL72 once I have installed the Ferrari sim ?

I have seen Ferrari images with reference to 86/87/ssl etc, could someone explain what is safe and compatible to flash.

Your help is much appreciated.

you can flash any of the ferrari images for your model
how you can change from sim to ferrari ,
you flash the ferrari image on the sim card
but after flashing the image, [YOU MUST NOT
RE-BOOT THE BOX] , you turn the box off by unplugging the
on the rear panel then you take the top off the box
and change the sim card for the ferrari sim card and then re boot
the box this will load the ferrari image cleanly on the ferrari sim card and it
will work first class, if you wish to change back to sim you do
the same as above with the ferrari card in the box
just be aware you must only use images for your 800 model

I have followed the above instructions and the Image is opening up but seems to be getting stuck about 2/3 though the boot.

I have flashed with this image.

Ferrari-SSL88F-OpenPli 2.1-dm800-20120425-kobra.nfi

Any ideas on what to do next ??

you say you flashed the ferrari image on the sim first and
then changed to the ferrari sim before you booted the box?
next have you unplugged the box again to see if that gets it
to fully boot up, i have never had any problems when changing sims
i wonder if you need the second stage loader ? but i would first try
a earlier ssl image and see if that clears it and it boots up properly
you now just get the box ip and flash the ferrari image the normal way
you can find lots of images on there download site to save

Yes I have tried 3 times and each time it will only boot so far then seems to get stuck I can see the 2 cogs moving on the Open PLI opening screen but it does not boot any further, what earlier image would you recommend that I try?

if your a member on the ferrari forum
post on there and see what they have to say
i would try a ssl82 or something like that,
i can only think if this is the latest image you
might need to load the bootloader file first.

Re-flashed with ssl82 as you advised and it did the trick.
