    NewNigma2 Update Message removal

I am using NewNigma2, It seems to work well with most things (Having probs with the pause tv, but everything else works well).

The problem im having is that every time I restart the box, or turn it on from 'deep standby'. I get a pop up screen message which disappears after 60 seconds saying 'A new update is available do you want to update now?'. When I update it screws up my box and I have to reinstall everything again, so I just choose 'No'.

Does anyone know how to get rid of this message?
Is there some startup file some where I can edit and comment out the showing of this message (im a coder but bash is new to me, so if you can point me in the direction, ill figure it out.)

So basically, How do I get rid of the startup 'Upate' message on NewNigma2?
    - Thanks to those who deserve them, and none to those who don't...

i had the same problem when i was testing the image,... in order to solve the problem all i had to do was to disable the update notification from either the system settings or the blue panel settings,...

i can't remember where exactually the disable option was, when test the image (it's been about 6-7weeks since i tried that image)

just go through all the menu options like i did and u'll come across it in no time at all

    happy hunting
