is there a way to remote record on my dreambox 800hd when i am away from home ??

You could open port 80, just make sure you have password changed.

Then login to the webif and do a record from there.

Or use dreamdroid app once the port is opened.

I dont think dreamdroid works on the newer OpenPi WebIF.

CAN YOU USE REMOTE DECKTOP FOR WINDOWS ON PC CONNECT TO HOME PC THEN PUT IP OF BOX IN AND USE THE WEB LOADER TO SET TIMER

Use the app it works great, u can type msg on screen, like WIFE GET ME DINNER OUT IM ON WAY HOME i have a android phone so i use that app, just forward the port in ur router to the box ip, but best to setup a dyndns server, their free, cuz if u dont and ur home ip changes ul not beable to logon.
