Unable to flash DM 800 HD clone

Dear Friends,
I have tried flashing my dm800 today.
It is giving an error 10057 saying SOCKET IS NOT CONNECTED.
It gives the same error on DCC and on optiflasher.
Dreamup doesnot even work.
I have tried holding the power button and then plugging the Power adapter in it just says DHCP and stop, doesnot gives an IP address.
I am really stuck. Need help please.

does the ethernet port show signs of life ? any lights ? , if so log into your router to grab the i-p , or dcc will let you scan a range of i-p adresses until it finds it (provided it is getting one that is)

if your getting socket not connected error message then your not configured correctly in dcc. you will need 3 ip adresses. 1= computer 2=dreambox 3=router ip address. you can get your dreambox ip address from your box by going into settings/network as long as its conected to your router
