3 new dm800s all say tuner failed

i just got 3 new dm800 boxes and all having problems, if i do a scan they are only finding 400 channels so all the movies and sports are missing and most of the HD channels, i have tryed loads of different images in them and all same problem, some times some channels say tuner failed, i have try different settings in the tuner, but nothing works, anyone fix this problem

Is it a motorised dish and have you entered your lat and long settings in and if so have you checked they are correct?

no its not a motor dish, ok did network scan, still only dfinds 485 services, i tryed all the options single transporter and single sat scan, i put freq:11836 H 27500 2/3 ats meant to be the movies, it found 485 other channels but no movies, i have my tuner config on advanced but have tryed simple to(ats me), if i put 12168 V29500 3/4 its HD movies, it just says no services found, plz dont tell me il have to bin over 300 pounds of dm800 i got, i cudnt be that unluck to get 3 broken dm800, any more help would be great

It might be that the image you have doesn't have all the transponders details in there. Putting flipflops settings in will sort that problem out. I just cant see anyone being that unlucky that 3 dm800s are faulty!

Also, as someone else has asked - is your dish aligned properly?

ok thanks, i will have to search about never heard of flipflops, and i have try loads of diff imges, pli, dreamboxuk tsimage blackhole, il try n find wat to do and give it ago

it didnt work, still only found 485 channels, it must b the tuners, i found a old tuner that i took out of a box ages ago, the only problem with it was uit didnt find the hd channels, so i put it in one of the boxes last nyt and did scan and it found around 800 services, no hd but all the sd movies and sd sports, so is their anyway of fixin the faulty tuners

take a box to a mates house and do a scan there, will rule out or pinpoint the dish being a factor

So the other tuner doesn't pick up HD? Mate, you seriously need to check your LNB or dish. You must be really unlucky to have 4 dodgy tuners out of 4 boxes. Check your dish is aligned and your LNB is okay.

i did take it to another house still same problem, and its not just hd its all the sd movies and sport to,and i replaced my lnd aswell, i took a tuner out of another box to try in the broken boxes and it worked apart from HD cuz they didnt work in the box i took it out of, so its the tuners ats faulty, unlucky yes, any1 want this week lotto numbers .. im going to try and fix them, is thir any diagrams of caps i can replace,

Just out of interest, which tuners are they? REV A or something?

they are the 801A and i just tryed replacing the cap under the tuner, it had a 16v 330uf, i tryed a 16v 470uf and a 16v 1000uf still nojoy, but i also replaced the cap on my old box, the tuner i used to test these boxes and now the HD channels work, so got 1 tuner sorted but still have 3 that only find 485 services no sd or hd movies or sports, so its not that cap, is their another i shoud try and replace... and i edited my post above to make sense
