    dm800hdse Recording Prob

    HI
    ive scowered the forums and am still a tad confused, basically i am DM800hdse (Sunray) owner and have been for some time, the Mrs is on me case to start utilisng the Recording Feature. Whats the cheapest solution for me to start recording and how do i do it. Ive got going spare a Toshiba 160gb sata 2.5 laptop hdd and was wondering if i bought the correct cables could this be used. Ive already purchased a couple of cables from fleabay but they were the wrong ones. Ive read about the internal overheating possiblities and am am looking to go external - just need a couple of tips - anyway any help is welcome.

      I am sorry to see nobody has replied to a very simple question.

      Any standard external 2.5" HDD usb caddy (enclosure) will be fine for connecting to this box, you can pick one up for as cheap as ?5 ! (Hard Drive Caddies and Enclosures | Ebuyer.com).

      Just be sure to edit the recording path after connecting it;

      Setup, system, recording paths, movie location, highlight the disk using the bouquet +/- buttons and press "add bookmark"

      Personally I have a NAS, so I just save all my files directly to this network share. (for info on mounting a network share, see my post http://www.digital-kaos.co.uk/forums...m800hd-310612/)
