Try a few different images and if its not picked up then its goosed, ordered a new one from china, you will be surprised how cheak they are, postage will probably be more or ask on here see if someone is buying or sending back and go halfs with postage!

I had a similar problems a couple of weeks ago. My box DM800hd (clone) is around 2 years old. All of a sudden it could not see the tuner. BTW it was a L3 Tuner.

Took the box to bits in order to reseat the tuner. The box then saw the tuner for a short while and I was able to view channels for about an hour or so before it was unable to see the tuner again.

Reflashed the box, with a fairly new image as it happens, but still had the same issue.

Took a gamble and bought a new M Tuner off ebay. It cost me 29 quid inc delivery if I recall correctly. Ordered it Wed afternoon, delivered the next day. Got home from work Thurs evening, bunged it in the box and worked first time. Not had any real issues with the tuner.

I get the occasional "tune failed" (just a handful of times over two weeks). But all I need to do is move to the next channel and back to the channel I got the "tune failed" message on and the picture is back. Not sure if this is tuner or image related.

With the old tuner (and old image) a "tune failed" message would mean restarting the box to view channels again. Used to get that several times a day sometimes. Other times it would be fine for a week or so.

Just my personal experience which may help you.

                Cheers,

                T.
