......i have 2 clones a DM800 pro and a DM800SE, both with a internal hardisk and they are located in different rooms ,how can i watch movies recorded on one Dreambox on the other Dreambox and vice versa??

stream a movie from the HDD of a DM to another DM use network browser and mount the HDD and watch in media player
Menu>setup>system>network>wireless or lan>network browser>select DM and the HDD you want to mount and change the local share name to what you want and enter the user name and password -
...with the DM800se i can get in the system -network- networking browser but with the 800 pro there is no network in system menu??Comment

hi davvo i put a latest new image on the 800 pro and now i can see the networking browser and i can see the 800 pro-hardisk and the 800 SE -Hardisk ... but what now?Comment

go to network browser on 1st DM
scan network
it will find both DM'S
click on 2nd DM
expand it then it will ask you if you want to enter a pass click no
drop down to the hard drive click it
again it will ask you if you want to enter a pass click no
then you will see your mount options
make sure it says enable at the top all other settings should auto fill
then
just press ok on the remote
it will now mount your 2nd DM hard drive
when done the hard drive icon for 2nd DM should be green
now go to media player on your 1st DM
and look for the 2nd DM hard drive
go in to that and click on a file and it will play
do all that on both boxes
if it doz not auto mount
only in the mount options
put the dm's username root

...it seems that some images dont support network browsing so i had to find another image that did ,then just followed davvos guide and everything worked perfectly .....A BIG THANKS TO DAVVO............i hope this will also help others that come by a similiar question.
