DM800 SE Manually scan for a channel on E2? (SG)

    Hi,

i don't mean to be spoon fed but i'm curious if it's possible to scan for a specific channel manually. i'm using a dm800 HD SE box with E2. I'm trying to search for 145 on SH.

    Thanks

    Yes.
main menu -setup- service searching-manual scan.....service scan menu comes up....scroll down to type of scan ,so it reads single transponder......scroll down to frequency and put new freq in....check symbol rate.polarity and fec. Once this is done press ok and wait for it to scan...should come up with new chancels on that frequency.....exit out of menu. Press Chanel selector button....press green button at bottom ......go to 28 east new...choose Chanel but do not press ok.......press menu button...and click on add service to bouquet......when choose a bouquet menu comes .just press ok on which bouquet you want that Chanel in and press ok......finally go into that bouquet and press ok on new Chanel and it should come up

sexysam, thanks for the detailed info, but how do you know what frequency to scan, what is symbol rate, polarity and fec? I'm a total newbie, so any help will be useful.

      Thanks!
