dm800se best way to play movies from pc?

Hi guys, just got my hands on a dm800se so been playing around with it and testing.

I've media server here using window 7 x64 which I use to download movies etc...

What I would like to do is play those moves from my media server through to the dm800se.

All the movies would be different file formats. And in the old days I remember getting vlc working on my old dm500s

But thought there must be better way by now?

So how do you guys play the movies you download onto your dm??
    Setup: 2x Dreambox 800HD | 3x Dm500S on Motorised dish Setup

Just go into network settings on the dbox and create a cifs share to your PC, enter Ip address and name and password for your pc and it should work

Menu-setup-system-network-mount manager-add new network mount point,

Local share name - call it want you want
          Mount type - cifs
Server ip - ip address of your share
Server share - I find this works better if you just use the letter of the hard
          drive your sharing
Use as hdd replacement - no
fill in username and password if you use them
