Need simple information on DM800SE wifi

Hi i'm from Singapore and i hope that some kind souls can help me with some noobie question. Can i know what is this wifi for? Some seller told me that SE with wifi got better video quality than those without. He's trying to sell me 30% higher than those i found online. Is there really such thing?

I just want a good set (with minimal hardware/firmware) issues, plug and play, fast processor. Purely watching programmes, no need for special functions like recording etc.

From what i know, 800SE if currently the best set in SG.

Am considering FYHD 800 IV as well. Any advise?? Kinda urgent... Appreciate all help

Hi there, I can recommend the WIFI, its very handy for rooms that haveny got wired network, especailly when ur wife has visitor and your banned to another room. You can also set up/access ur 800 from ur ipad.

Hi digicon! Yeah i just found out there is this introduction section haha... did that and hope to make more new friends here =)

So i can assume that the seller is just crapping his way just to try to make me pay more. =( What an axxhxxx!

And so i can just get a normal non wifi 800SE set, poke the main cable hole to the set hole, connect the hdmi from the set to my tv, giving me the same quality right?

I still dont understand what is the wifi or internet connectivity for. Am at a loss even with google, can't get enough info and some info are too hard for me to understand as im totally new to dreambox....

with these boxes you can add extra plugins, update your channel list, use cs, stream and probably many other things, all done over the internet, the wifi part just means you can connect without wires so long as you have a wireless router. i have the same box but to be honest i dont use the built in wireless as for streaming it never seams fast enough.
