I use PLI 2.1 with CrossEPG and all works great. Only bug i have is that after a few days the CrossEPG configuration defaults back to Internal Flash ! If i restart enigma then it gives me the option to change it back to USB stick (2 GB) and then it will stay on USB for a few days. Anybody come across this before ? Is 2 GB USB big enough ?

This thread explains why it occurs http://www.digital-kaos.co.uk/forums...-flash-256995/
Get the current package from here https://github.com/E2OpenPlugins/e2o...sEPG/downloads which has a couple of the fixes which I passed onto the author, including the fix for it reverting to internal flash. -
I have tried the CrossEPG (2012) from the link but it wont install ? Using DCC to the tmp folder, PLi then displays it in software management (install local extension), but when i press ok it says "0 files added with 0 errors". Is there a program/plugin i need to install first for this to work ?Comment

It won't install as the package checksum doesn't match the checksum that is contained or authorised by openpli.
I'll try and dig out some instructions. The other way would be to unpack the package and then manually copy the files over to their respective folders.Comment

Sorry, I forgot all about this. I had a quick look as I posted this info on another site but my search skills have failed me.
As with everything always make a backup copy of any files that will be over written.
I've attached the 3 files that I modded, so install CrossEPG using the normal plugins route or as you're proposing to do above. Then unzip the 3 files on your PC and then FTP them over to the folder /usr/lib/enigma2/python/Plugins/SystemPlugins/CrossEPG, delete the existing crossepg_auto.pyo, crossepg_loader.pyo and crossepg_setup.pyo and then restart the box. After the restart if you look back in the above folder you should hopefully see that the .pyo file you deleted have been recreated.Attached FilesComment

The 3 modded files should hopefully be the end of it reverting back to internal flash and it randomly failing to process/upload the downloaded EPG data.
For me on a 800se (the 800 is the same by the way) if the box wasn't restarted for say 3 weeks the download/processing would fail and after around 10-12 days if I kept on checking the settings it would revert to internal flash.
For the Duo clone I have running ViX 2.4-151 my fix to stop it reverting back to internal flash is included in the image but the fix for the download/processing isn't so after around 1 month my EPG data stops getting updated. I've produced a set of files for the Duo also.Comment

any chance someone can reupload CrossEPG-800SE.zip to an external site, the zip is corrupting here for me.
edit:
I managed to get it ok now i had a prob with my download manager, now the problem is i get errors when i replace the 3 files so ill investigate more.
edit2:
All working ok now, my problem was my ftp client would not transfer the 0kb file __init__.py
thanksLast edited by waldo555; 7 January, 2013, 00:25.Comment

Please can you advise where these files are? I have a Vu+duo original with BH 1.7.9. ThanksThe 3 modded files should hopefully be the end of it reverting back to internal flash and it randomly failing to process/upload the downloaded EPG data.

I have the latest Blackhole image on a vu+ solo.
I have applied this patch to fix crossepg which works fine.
When I go into mount manager my usb is not showing.
My picons and epg work so it must be there?
Any ideas why usb is not showing in mount manager?Comment

No idea to be honest, did this happen after applying the updated files or was the problem always there?
EDIT: I've just read elsewhere that having TS Panel installed can cause this, so do you have TS Panel installed?Last edited by IAmATeaf; 10 March, 2013, 23:20.Comment
