dreambox 800hd HDD/memory

a mate wants me to upgrade his box in terms of ram (random access memory) also fit a HDD for video/recording usuage.

as the box is a clone is there anything i should know in terms of how much ram there can be fitted with? I know its best to use same brand and memory size (eg. 1gb with 1gb sticks)
how big in size Gigabyte do there take?

You can't add memory sticks to a Dreambox like you can to a computer.
The dreambox uses Flash memory and only way to expand it is through USB devices.
