EOF read where object expected

Hi
I often get an error after installing an IPK extension. "EOF read where object expected" So far I have got this message on 6 different extensions. Can anyone throw some light on this error. Thanks

basically its aserver error where you are trying to download the ipk file from.. try a different source

Agreed, that's a possibility. Could any of these other options be the cause too.
(1) The extension is corrupt.
(2) I put it in the wrong directory.
(3) The compiler is corrupt.
(4) The extension is incompatible with E2
(5) The extension conflicts with other installed extensions.
