Dm 800HD with enigma2

[I]Hi I just bought a DM800HD which I think has enigma 2 image
I connected everything up and the box booted. But nothing is showing up on the TV. The window on the box says Viasat Xtra pl3
and the time. nothing I've tried with the remote makes any difference. What am I doing wrong

Any help would be appreciated.

apart from iy being enigma2 image, just which image is it

It sounds like it's using a port which you are not connecting to, or has some preset configuration not compatible with your screen.

Some bad images don't bring you to the initial setup screen when you first boot them up, and use some preset options. It's on this initial setup that you select which output you want (scart, hdmi etc..).

My advice is to try connecting using a different type of cable, if you have this option.
Otherwise try to flash with a different image, a popular one which is made properly and has initial setup, by setting the box into networked (IP) mode and browsing to this IP on your computer, and uploading an image this way.

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you both.
Sorted the picture problem.
I bought a DVI to HDMI lead,picture now perfect but no sound, but using a gold plated scart sound but no picture.

Any Ideas

Hi Again

Sorted it had a play with the menu/settings/av changed the output to DVI
everything now working.
