Hey from one noob to another ahaha, i would also order a FEMALE RS232 Serial Null Modem Cable to USB. That's what i needed for my connection, just incase your stuck when it comes to connecting. Hope it helps good luck

My cable came through :-) good news it worked and i was able to load a bootloader and image hooray!!! Thanks for everyones help with this.

I have done a tuner and automatic scan but not able to receive all the channels.

Before I did all this work I did take a backup of the flash, its about 50mb. Can I do anything with this flash image? It did say on the dreambox IP on the web browser that it was only for debugg purposes? If I cant can I extract the card sharing info I need to get the box working again? as I only receiving FTA at the moment.

I know this sort of discussion is not allowed, so if anyone can advise where I can go to ask these questions it would be most appreciated.

Put a channel list like catseyes on it and contact your server for the otherdetails.
I think you know we can't talk about the other.
If you get them you need a program like flashfxp to send your details over etc/cccam.cfg.
It can be found in downloads.

Hi to all

Just to let you know I was able to restablish my service back. I did update the sim2 and openpli image but its more or less the same now.

Before i had nice categorys organised in the faviourites but i didnt set this up. Now when i have done a channel scan it has picked up 900 channels, some without names and just a number and i could really do with sorting the listings out.

Any advice or tutorials i could follow to organise my channels and remove any channels we dont watch e.g. Adult?

Ideally i would like to be able to do the organisation and deletion from my laptop or ipad (if there is such an app) rather than use the remote control as i see it could take a long time using the remote.

Any advice would be most appreciated.
