Change double recording paths to ext HDD?

Hi. I have a little challange here. I'm almost a newbee, so if someone here can help me, please do so as if you were too, and take it step by step

I have two dreamboxes. A DM8000 in the living room, and a DM800 in another room. Then i have a HDD on my LAN called (/ip-adress /Public/Movie/)
What i want to do is to re-progam both boxes recordingpath's to the Movie-map on this HDD.

I have read meny threads on different forums, but no explanations make enough sense for me to try. If it's possibly to do this with DCC, i have some experience with it.

Very greatful if someone can help me get this working.

Thanx reaper101, but it's still a bit to complecated for me. I dont have enough knowledge about the terms, and also this is not the same as i want to do.
But, i can see that it might be a good alternative.
