Im continuing in this thread as it consern the same box.
I have ordered a new simcard 2.10 now, and I am wondering if it is something of concern when you change it.
When I put new SIM in box, is it only to flash new image (for 2.10) and " honk and drive " or do I need to update something else.
Are newest drivers in the image and are they automatically Flashed ?
what to think about to get the box as good as it gets?

    best regards nalle077

Good choice with the new sim mate, after you have fitted the sim you need to immediately put the box in flash mode (apply power cable with the front button pressed) ,this will give you a flash loading page, browse to your new SIM2 dm800 image, flash, and away you go , all latest drivers are in the latest image so you should see better performance and picture quality, obviously your box will now be sim2 compatible only!!!!
Good luck an keep us posted

ive never done this but i thought you flashed new image before you change sim, dont let box reboot, change sim then reboot, is that wrong, right or does both methods work.

Yeah that would be good to now before I do it. sim did not arrive today anyway so Ill have to wait untill monday.

I am also curious about previous post.
Now LCD in DMwindow shows BL70
and if I telnet to it and uses command "ipkg list | grep second"
          It says "dreambox-secondstage - 76-r1 -.

I am interested in nowing why so I learn something.
I think it is because the image is built (patched) upon a BL76 image. Can anyone confirm this. In that case the only true BL version is shown in DMlcd window (the little one on the box.
