I have 2 Dreamboxes Dm800 & Dm800SE which has stopped working. I think they have blown up, because nothing happens when I put power to them. Is there a fuse somewhere, which I can change or is it impossible to repair them. It seems that the powersupply is damaged. Can anyone help.

the psu is external, so what I would do is hook up an external 12v supply feed from a pc power unit to test them both out
if they work, just replace the external 12v psu with a new one of sufficient current rating (the same or higher current rating than the old one) -
not knowing the power supply on those boxes is it a jack plug power supply and check polarity is the same as some have positive in centre and others on the outside should be a diagram on the psu unit.Comment

It is the box which are not working. For a few seconds they smelt a little burnt and after that they did not work. Do the box have a fuse, which can be changed or is it total dead.Comment
