help please dm800 locking up

dm 800 se locking up



problem with dm 800se( clone), the box continually locks up and i have to reboot. sometimes lock whilst scanning for channels, sometimes whilst changing channels. will not work for more than 5 mins without locking up.
have tried numerous images.
have tried new power supply
any help please.

You haven't tried a new tuner check to see which one is installed and see if you can get hold of a Revision 'M'

is the flash memory full . maybe too many plugins or epg wrongly configged to flash memory storage,
reflash and just install what you need then you can establish if its hard/software

I too wondered if it is something like the flash memory being full.
with some images (very basic images) it lasts longer before locking up.
however at the moment I have no hdd installed and no plugs ins, yet still locks up.
I assume that when i install a new image i clear the flash memory.

is there any other way to clear the flash memory.??

when i try to install image using dreamup (sunray) the box connects but just hangs on calculating checksum.
I thought using dreamup would clear flash better than flashing from browser.
although i can flash ok from browser.

The Tuner is OK it what is used on the 800se so should not be a problem, If your NAND flash memory is filling up then you need to find out why and generally its because of downloading the EPG on a regular basis but if you not doing that then you need to go through the settings and see if you can find what is causing it.

my box looks pretty much the same.

root - 77%
60mb 46mb used 14mb available.

i have no hdd usb or cf attached.

so maybe thats not the problem
