Looking for a recomended supplier

Hi all,

as the title suggests I am looking for a decent supplier for a DM800SE. I would prefer to order from China to save some cash (that can then be used to get a HDD for it) but obviously don't want to get spanked in the process! I have seen Ruby at L&W mentioned a few times, has anybody dealt with them recently that can offer some feedback? or does anybody else have any other suggestions.

PS: This will be my first box so expect me to be back with some silly questions once it arrives .

got mine from next.biz, no probs mate and had it in 4 working days tracked from hong kong. i took mdt advice ... been fine for me so far, came with latest enigma2 image.

I was recommended nextbay but when I did a google search I found 2 of them 1 was a .biz and 1 was .cn address, I also read some bad reviews but because they only called them nextbay I was unsure which domain they were referring to! I can only assume that 1 domain is reliable (probably the .biz) and one is a bit dodgy.

After speaking with another member on here I Emailed Ruby at L&W today and got a reply from her almost instantly so I will probably order from her tomorrow morning (I was at work today and did not want to make the payment from my work computer).

Again thanks for the reply, I was a bit unsure about ordering from China but hearing other peoples success stories as helped me make my decision.

I have ordered several boxes from ruby at L&W. Never had problems! dispatched and delivered to the door within 4/5 working day. Good choice! hope your box is delivered safely.

you wont have any issues with Ruby mate, I used to use yaoxin but had an order confiscated by customs and they were no help whatsoever, now use ruby who cant do enough to help, order on Monday and arrive by thurs , tracked all the way

Hi what's the price ruby charges on the se inc postage ?
been on site couldn't see prices,and she is off line
leaders of dreambox based in uk I think, there's price comes to ?159 with Dhl delivery.

Last time I checked it was about, 120 Sterling, obviously depends on strength of pound to dollar at the time, and the more you buy the cheaper it is, the postage is a decent chunk of that 120 , so if you have a mate who needs a box at same time can save yourselves a few quid by combining postage, may not be a great time to buy if it's just sly UK your dish is set for tho, what with the latest pairing technology it may not be around much longer!

Nobody knows exactly how it will pan out mate, personally I don't think it's just gonna take out HD, and who exactly is gonna find a fix and what will they charge the end user to implement it, prob a new type of box at the least I would guess, not trying to create panic, just not the best time to get into a new box that may be wiped out in June

@robbeno, I ordered a DM800se from Ruby on Friday and it arrived on Monday! cost was ?136 after conversion with paypal.
