CrossEPG - Possible to ignore live data?

I'm using CrossEPG with CoolmanEPG on my DM800SE HD clone.

It seems that when live information is loaded from the satellite about what is currently showing, this overwrites what is in the EPG.

Is it possible to disable this behaviour and always use the data from the EPG?

There are two reasons I want to do this:
    • The data from the satellite doesn't include a description of the show, so this ends up being empty (where previously there was a description)
    • The data I'm receiving from the satellite usually has a random Chinese character in place of the first letter of the show name

I would be grateful for any help with this.

Which satellite is this happening on, If its 28.2? east then the data is taken from the EPG folder from crossepg as the live info only gives now and next if no EPG is stored

infobar epg does not use cached epg data by default and polls for latest epg info from stream on zap, set "Show EIT now/next in infobar" to NO in setup > system > user interface to disable this (OpenPli). in EPG settings, set Enable EIT EPG to NO.

It is 28.2e. Not sure that is true in my case, that is what I want to happen! When I'm in Cool TV Guide it has EPG information which is then overwritten when I go on to the channel (for now/next, everything else is left alone).

This sounds like the exact settings I need but unfortunately I can't find either. There is no user interface menu under setup > system for me and I can't see anything about EIT in any of the other menus. Can't see an option to disable EIT EPG in the CrossEPG settings either.

        Any ideas?

Thanks for the reply, under setuop > system I don't seem to have an 'advanced' option as well as 'user interface' as suggested before.

I've looked through all of the menus in there and can't find anything to do with EIT unfortunately.

Does anyone know if there are any plugins/panels I can install that will expose these settings, or if there are any config files I can edit, or will I have to install another image if I want to do this?
