I upgraded my dreambox 800 3.5" 2.0 hdd to 3.5" 3.0 by misstake

My old 2.0 hdd failed,but i bought a 3.5 3.0 hdd by missate,if i buy a caddy with a esata port will i get 3 Gbps as the dreambox 800 has a esata port on? Any help will be much appreciated i know i carn't get speeds upto 5 Gbps as the dreambox 800 hd dosen't have a 3.0 usb port

I doubt you will get speeds of 3gbps from the hard drive either but it will certainly be faster than the USB 2.0 on the box itself
