I just want a DB800HD SE but which one?

My box has just died so need a replacement quickly, the db800hd se clone sounds ideal but which one??? Its got to be black, no wi fi, no hdd, after that I get lost, I read ferrari sim 2.10, then i read original sim, prices are all over the shop so how can I tell I am getting a decent one with a good tuner and where to buy??

    thanks

Look for one with an A8P sim inside

I just received my dm800se with A8P. So far so good, changed to latest open pli image and added tsmedia/tspanel which seem to work well togeteher.

if your buying a 800se it has to be with a a8p sim,but why bother when you could buy a tm nano for ?129 an original e2 sat receiver with good tuners its a no brainer

ah as they say knowledge is power, never heard of the nano, what image does it do and is it as good as the db800 se hd, seems to be loads of stuff for the db. BUT at that price I am defenitely going to have a look. does it do all the bits as a db800, looked on that site and it seems to come pre loaded. i am moving from a db500s so be gentle.

            and where is the support??

and thank you for mentioning it. off to do a search now. I want to use it with a motorised dish but drive dish with other receiver ie a spare for the office and hd.

The Nano is an E2 receiver the same as the 800se only that it runs the same broadcom chipset as the Vu Duo so has a dual core 400mhz on board CPU which is faster than the 800se's single core, It also has more ram and more Nandflash memory thus allowing more space for plugins.

As for images and support the Nano is not bad but the 800se whips it so to speak

amazing how far stuff has advanced, at least I was on almost the right lines with thd db800sehd, the price of the nano is defenitely attractive, i might buy 2!!( a nano and a db800) i am not sure i can ask this but can u use a foreign land to get a db800 or will customs get me and destroy all my savings?

                and thanks again

That part i am afraid is in the hands of Chance you order one from china they mark it as gift etc... then customs may or may not open it and see whats inside its a lottery

                    Sure.

I got it from e-stardvb.com (I was speaking with belinda@). USD161.00 with wifi (USD 154 without) plus USD 30 to deliver DHL to my country (EU) - no custom charges paid.

From the packaging, it seems that it was shipped from China to HK and then DHL to me.

theres properly no receiver on the market that has the support that the dm has but there good options out there it just depends how much you want to spend

yes after reading there are so many boxes now its a case of how much you want to spend and all get great reviews, i have ordered the db800hdse, not from china, now all i need is to know the best image, and the easiest version to use. and where to find it?

how can i check the sim version, its the a8p and does it mean i have to use official images only??
