help,havent done this for a long time and have forgot,,800 se,boot 84 tried to put new enigma on it after mine was looping green screen etc,then got no ca found,,using the reset on the back it says no 2nd or something like that,,any help to recover please ,appreciated

you will need a a/b camera type usb cable and have the ethernet cable connected and then clear and load a new correct image for your model with the sunray flash up panel using the last know ip for the box

a to b camera type cable benny,that not a normal usb,some camera cables have micro usb etc,thanks

you dont say if original or clone

thats right mate the small usb end goes into the service
port on the rear of the se, and the standard usb end in the computer you could also need the vcp driver to get the computer to recognise the a/b cable you can download it free from the dm800se section on

i got a extra long a/b usb cable from maplins if you need to get one

Connect USB cable to service slot on DM800SE/DM500HD and USB slot on Pc. Windows 7 will then install the driver
or you will then need to load the vcp drive file

You will notice, windows created a virtual Com Port connection to be be used ( in this case Com Port 4)


Switch Receiver off and connect Network cable Receiver and Router

Then Start SunRay- FlashUp, Tick Use Network, Fill the relevant boxes with local pc IP and Romote ip of your box and click Connect.

Program will ask for you to Switch on the receiver.

then see the panel upload from the box after It will then go into HTTP mode you click this and a window will open
Page will open as per bellow and then you chose the option Update Firmware.

Click Browse and navigate to your image

Chose the image and click Open

Now click Flash button

Image will start to load after finishing click Reboot. In Most case you will need to do it manually by turning the box of and on with the rear switch on the box
it will then reboot and come back to life with image we chose to load. Then you can load the image of your choice and then the box will work again

close dreamup open again untick use network and try again use null modem and network cables ps you may have to flash a ssl first

did you put a tick in the box to use network [ethernet cable] on the sunray panel? and was the box turned off when you clicked connect and then you turn the box on,
