    Shell terminal

Is it possible to open a command shell under enigma?

    Also can I connect a wireless keyboard/mouse?

No need to mate, use telnet on your PC, dcc has an inbuilt telnet tab, what exactly are you trying to do?

VUCC also has a User friendly Telnet command route, as for wireless mouse and keyboard you would have to see if your current image has the drivers built in.

Not too sure on this but i thought they had taken out Mouse/keyboard support years ago

        I have tried telnet but can't login.... I can't find a userid/password which works.

I want set up a network share which has an embedded space and can't work out how to write it directly using a remote....

Default it root and dreambox, check the info page were you download the image to see if they changed it,
Or you could try "network browser" on dreambox in network tab to search for the share

root and dreambox doesn't work! I have an Openbox S6000HD which I bought recently and have not downloaded any images - in fact I don't know how to....

I'm still not sure how to tell what sort of STB it is - Openbox/Dreambox/vu+ solo

Under "network browser" I can see the network drive but can't find a way of mounting it.

Where is the mount information held? I thought it was held in the fstab file .... mine has

            rootfs / auto defaults 1 1
            proc /proc proc defaults 0 0
            devpts /dev/pts devpts mode=0620,gid=5 0 0
            usbfs /proc/bus/usb usbfs defaults 0 0
            tmpfs /var/volatile tmpfs defaults 0 0

but I don't see any reference to the locally mounted USB hard drive so maybe I'm missing something

The box is similar to vu solo. What image is on just now? There are plenty of references in the forum on the s6000hd and cloud i box.

By image do you mean something like OpenPli - I'm still trying to get to grips with all the terminology

The Image is the Main software/Firmware that drives the box and any image will allow you to get the box up and running and watching FTA channels without adding anything else

Is there an option in the image which will enable remote access and/or set the userid/password?

a quick google search for "s6000hd ftp user password" gives this User: root, password: solo.
