    DM800 password reset help

I'm trying to connect to the db via telnet to install an epg, but it's rejecting the default un/pw of root:dreambox. Funny thing is, that is the same un/pw used for the remote control android app and xbmc pvr addon that I'm using for an all in one setup. Is there a different un/pw I have to use to connect via telnet, or a setting I have to enable?

I've tried to download the tux commander plugin, but it doesn't come up in the download list for plugins.

Well, it just says login incorrect:

I've tried to connect with putty, dbe, flasfxp, and dreamset with no success.

Who put the user and pass on the box
Is it locked by your ,Server ???
you will have to reflash, but doing this will loose your CCcam.cfg.
Unless you can get it back from the provider .
I have software here , if you can back up the image to pc then you can open the image on the pc to see the password.
works on enigma one cant remember if ive used it on enigma 2 ......................Paul

I don't know who set the user and pass for the box since I didn't buy it. I'm only trying to set it up with xbmc for my dad since he liked the way I've set mine up (I use Vu+ Solo).
Would I be able to backup the image from the box itself since the login details don't want to work (save to hdd or something )? If its not possible, I'll leave it as is, since the main point of getting the live tv within xbmc is working fine.
