    DM800HD SE Recording Help

    can record on the dm800hd se no problem and play back but when i ftp to the box so i can transfer the recording to my pc there is nothing in the folder to move?

    Normally it should be in /media/HDD/movie folder unless you specified another destination when setting the receiver up

      thats the thing its set to that but when i go to check that folder in ftp there is nothing in it?? the recordings are showing on the box and play etc

          Have you checked the other folders inside the /media section

              Well they have to be somewhere as .ts files which are quite large dont just disappear i would check every folder just to be on the safe side

                      Depends on what you want to encode them to, there are plenty of free AVI,MKV etc.. encoders available just search on google

                        so just a matter of running through a converter and thats it? i thought youd need to tweek audio and picture and size etc?
