m8 if All channels are affected then have look your signal could be your lnb or tuner

All channels are affected my box wont accept the merlin image states wrong architecture.

If it's an old clone you might want to upgrade the tuner to rev L , as previous versions were plagued with problems

thanks southpaw just been looking at tuners found reference to L2 and L3 tuners if I remember correctly is my tuner is an M tuner was meant to stop the glitching on HD channels when I bought the box. I believe its the most recent tuner.

The L came before M so your tuner should be fine then mate , could you try the box on somebody else's dish to eliminate the dish, cables and lnb, and you sure it's also glitching on free channels ?

Yes m8 its all channels just trying your merlin image finding my way around it looks a great image will keep you updated how I get on. checking all my cables dish and LNB. All seem fine getting good signal down cable from LNB. Going to strip down the box.

Spoke too soon glitching and freezing all through the football. so now I have placed two inline amps since then no problems so far, My conclusion is don't buy a clone box as I am assuming if the box is cloned so is the tuner although it states on my tuner Alps M tuner I believe it is cloned like the box. I have a strong signal from my dish to the box. I will keep the thread posted.

Doubling up the inline amps seem to be working although when I stick a meter on the cable end it tells me my signal is at 100% without the amps.
seems to have made a big difference with the amps added.

m8 have u got fan in your box bcoz some time if your box heating up then u get glitching and freezing as well if u have not got fan in it then u can try usb notebook cooler from pound shop its only pound

Thanks but got internal and external fan so box is nice and cool the inline amps seem to have done the job at present.

The big question is does it freeze and glitch on fta channels or on channels like BBCHD. If not I'm pretty certain its not the box.
