    DM800 Boot Freeze

    Hope somebody can help me.

This Dreambox is probably the worst thing I have ever bought!

It was working fine up until about 1 hour ago. I attempted to manually re-scan 9.0E and the box froze with blue bars at the top of the screen.

I had no option other than to pull the plug.

Now everytime that it loads it gets up to showing the GP2 image and the OSD says:
    dhcp...
    /flash/vmlinux.9z

    and that is it.

    Any thoughts?

No idea what the problem is but I say you try a reflash.
Maybe it overheated and something got corrupted when it crashed?

      THE TRUTH
      The Hillsborough Independent Panel. 12/09/12

Today's report is black and white. The Liverpool fans were not the cause of the disaster.
The panel has quite simply found 'no evidence' in support of allegations of 'exceptional levels of drunkenness, ticketlessness or violence among Liverpool fans' and 'no evidence that fans had conspired to arrive late at the stadium' and 'no evidence that they stole from the dead and dying'.

Is it real DB800 or a clone ?

If its a clone you will have to use a different bootloader ....

If you are getting a error message in display reads boot # 72 (xxxxxxxxxxx) ?
Then try a later image with r72

I have propblem with booting. Sometimes is off and do nothing and sometimes is on display only logo DREAM MULTIMEDIA. DM800 start maybe after 20x attempts.

Is it this second stage 72 solution for this?
                Thx
