password not recognized...?

hi all,

just bought a dreambox 800d se.
I kind of new to all this but findig my way slowly.
whe trying to connect to my DB it wont login.
my conection in DCC are all green but wont connect to telnet, it comes back with login incorrect.
now m guess is that the one got it from somehow changed it.

I tried to get in the files (VAR/ETC) via tuxbox but it asks me again for usern. and pw.
I know that standard is root / dreambox but that doesn't work.
I know flshing new image resets pw but im not that far yet daring to flash new imjage.
someone got any ideas

You need tux box commander, you'll need to download via the addons panel, then when you run it scroll down to var then etc then to passwd and then press edit

Thanks Already tried that but When i start tuxbox it asks for a password to.
I only have the remote and dont know How To type using it.
And if i Got it to work i still dont know the password.

To type using it is like a old mobile phone, 3 letters on each number, if you can't use tuxbox then I think you'll have to reflash with a new image mate! It's easy enough via browser and home network.
