dm800hd fan

Ok Ive did this before with a dm800hd, fan is terrible and Ive bought another fan on ebay with red and black wires, changed connected over, mounted it on the top casing and works fine...

Im doing another one for a friend and its not going well, when I put red to red and black to black I get nothing. When I put red to black and black to red then fan works but it doesn't stop working, it won't turn off in standby....

Like I am using the original motherboard connector, I don't see why it won't turn off

some of the dm800 clones dont power off the fan in standby, alternative is take power from one of the scart pins as that goes off in standby , cant remember exactly which pin but sure google will put you right
