hi just a quick question have used vu solo with vix for last 2 years now moving to octagon sf8 xp 1000 with vix any one know what major differences i should expect

Looking at specs seems faster. Solo is getting quite old now and shows sometimes.
Interested in what others think of the xp1000. Seems a decent little box for the money.
xp1000 (sf8) or TM-nano seem to be the main two around that price. I have a solo and am also looking to upgrade.Last edited by Simba92; 23 December, 2013, 22:48. -
The SF8 is the replacement for the XP1000 which is now equipped with a front panel number display the hardware remains the same Broadcom chipset running 500mhz processor
The TM-Nano on the other hand runs a Dual core 405mhz processor same chipset as the Duo has more flash memory and Ram, Although for general satellite viewing any of the 3 will do the job
