NEW mini vu duo twin tuner dreambox hybrid !?

had mine delivered yesterday, aint messed with it just yet.
The strange thing is, the DHL tracking number I was given , says its still in HK, The number on the parcel is different to what I was given at checkout

I can't seem to get my box to flash the latest VIX image.
I've formatted my USB to FAT32 and using build 802.
The box just keeps booting straight into OPENPLI.
I've tried 2 USB's neither seem to be working, Do I need to flash a new bootloader first?

can flash build 808 fine, when your inserting stick and turning it on, does it just boot straight up ? then its not flashing, to know its flashing needs to stay stuck on red led, use a different usb port, and only try to use 1-8gb in size usb stick

Set the mini duo up with the latest vix image and installed 500gb hd.
very impressed for now.
fan don't seem too loud, however the remote seems a bit of a hit and miss.
Now the strange bit, how is everyone finding the strength of the tuners?
I am clearing everything , except 413/414 these are juddery and come as tune failed.
my solo2 is clearing them with out issue + the weather is fine too.

Set the mini duo up with the latest vix image and installed 500gb hd.
very impressed for now.
fan don't seem too loud, however the remote seems a bit of a hit and miss.
Now the strange bit, how is everyone finding the strength of the tuners?
I am clearing everything , except 413/414 these are juddery and come as tune failed.
my solo2 is clearing them with out issue + the weather is fine too.

no issues with them channels, my remote works perfect, quality is good when pressing the keys too, fan can hear it if volume is low, not bad really when watching tv, one thing i noticed when in standby it does get quite warm, if you touch the heatsink its hot so that concerns me for long term, but saying that i set recordings etc no issues at all and using Vix 3.0 latest build, one thing i have cross epg set to auto schedule download but when check next day its not done anything so confused why that its not running at the scheduled time tried different things but cannot get it to work

What tuner is it? Maybe try a different image and see if that changes anything.

Just set it up, so have not had the chance to check it in standby[will do later] . Yes I agree, recordings etc seem spot on . Crossepg is working fine with out issue.
Might check another image to see if my 413/414 situation improves.
Is there any other settings to show signal strenghth , Ive got agc and snr in infobar.

crossepg downloaded epg fine manually, but i have it set to auto downloaded at 4am but it doesnt do it, have you got yours set up on auto download and it does it ?

mine is set to 7am, and yes it just updated crossepg smoothly. As for the fan/heat issue in stand by, I touched the top after 3 hours in standby, and I would say it was warm but not hot.
+ seemed to have sorted the 413/414 situation by swapping my input coax wires around {weird}

Hi, i cant get mine to update using crossepg even when its set to autoupdate can you FTP to usr/crossepg and view file crossepg.config this is mine

its same, some reason today checked and it did auto run , but didnt change any settings, would love to know what made it work,

Only issue I've noticed is when using Blackhole and making a full image backup, if you flash the backup back to the box, then it doesn't boot. For some reason it doesn't create the kernel_cfe_auto.bin file properly, just copy one from a working backup (or original/base image) then it flashes fine.
