          Well well,
My view a week ago, would have been not bad for the price.
However 2 days ago, I tried to reboot the box but the damn thing don't boot anymore. just a constant red light on the front.
So I tried flashing a new image , the usb flashed/blinked like it was doing something . But the box is still stuck on a solid red light.
Anyone know any way to resuscitate the box
          thanks

Can you not reflash via RS232

i noticed when making a backup and trying to reflash it back, it would just stay stuck on red led, so had to manually take all the files out of the backup just keeping root_cfe_auto.jffs2 and getting rest from the original image and then flashed fine with backup

seems like you guyz got a different problem, i have 2 of these and not had this problem myself hopefully aint a common problem , guess you need to contact supplier and hope for fix and not send it back

                        Contacted mixeshop, regarding faulty box.
They are currently on Chinese New year's holiday and will be back on the 8th of February.

Try a couple of different usb sticks with BlackHole-2.0.8 usb image
you will see a small green light blinking to let you know its finished flashing, power off removed usb stick then power on and wait,
be patient can take a couple of mins to kick in
also sometimes it can default to scart output so plug a scart lead in as well and check avi output on tv to see if its booting.

You should have really asked in the vu forums instead of hijacking a thread.

                              It should be ok
