    Can't find any channels

I just got my DM800SE clone with BCM4505 tuner. I tried a test channel on the stock Sunray image and could receive it without problems. Then I flashed this image (along with SSL84D, which I think was replacing SSL84B) and I can't tune or scan channels any more. As soon as I try scanning it will instantly say the scan has finished and return 0 results. Can anyone please help?

I've just flashed GP3.0.39-r2-dm800se-sr4-2012-01-03-sim2-SSL-84b (the default SR4 image) and it works again, but this image really isn't great. At least I know it's a software issue now. Any ideas how I can get the OpenPLi image above working?

That was the problem! It turns out that I actually needed to set LOF to C-Band, otherwise it wouldn't work. Everything works perfectly now

press menu > setup > service searching , tuner configuratiuon, change values to this - config mode- simple , mode- single , sat- 28.2 , diseqc- no , if your using the same pli image as the guy above, run the autobouquet plugin after configuring the tuner to the above settings

Hi thanks for your response but it did not worked. I have image Merlin-3-OE-1.6-final-dm800se-sim2-ssl-84b, I followed your instructions and I got on satfinder good signal and locked. I did both autoscan and manual but it says for a while scan in progress and then no channels found. Can it be faulth Sim card?

absolutely nothing to do with the sim card mate, check the tuner hasn't slightly disconnected , as the type of connection used is quite delicate

Hi thanks again but I will be ever so grateful if you put some instructions as how to do that as I am not very clever with this in my age

Remove top cover, remove small retaining nut on the back of tuner where your sat cable connects, as you look at the box from the front, slide the tuner to the right so as it locks into the connection slot, keep pressure applied and re tighten the small nut again, put lid on and test

Thanks for your help but it did not worked. When I first had the box I connected with one of the cables from the back of my SKY+BOX, thinking that I can use both boxes. Has that anything to do with the box stopping working after a few days that worked well.

That's perfectly normal mate and shouldn't cause issues, only other thing I suggest is swap cables over, put none working feed to sky box and the working one from sky box to dm800, and see if problem persists,
And see if your sky box functions with the current dodgy feed

Hi sorry to bother you again but I have not manage to make the box work. When I go to tune config and try to lock the simple single transporter the lock turns green but when I exit and then go back the green tick gone and no how many times I go back and forward it does the same so when I scan it sys failed no channels found. Any further help will be appreciated but in not I am gratefull for the time you took to help an OAP. Thanks again

configure the tuner to the settings I posted in post 5 above, then run "autobouquet" plugin which will scan and catagorise your channels for you, also the image you want to use (linked in post 1) is already configured for a 4505 tuner as currently using it with one
