Dreambox 800se wont connect to dream-multimedia-tv.de to test authenticity clone???

i bought this dm800se hd as genuine
I tryed the authenticity test on the dm800 se but only get this error i havent connected anything to the tuner as i wouldnt think this is needed for the test?, (this was when conected to router mode only) :-

invalid responce from server.please report:[failure instance traceback (failure with no frames): >class 'twisted.internet.error.DNSLookupError'> DNS lookup failed: address 'dream-multimedia-tv.de' not found

(and below was when it was connected to router)

is there a setting to change so i can test authenticity?, i can connect to the internet with box but not to dream-multimedia-tv.de for test?.

''just like to add'' that i dont think any images are on the dreambox as when it boots the background picture shows a dreambox 800 se.
im new to these stb's and trying to find out if this stb is a clone or original.

How much did you pay for it? Thats the easy way to tell if its genuine.

I bought it off ebay as unused but not by a dealer there was no reserve so the price wont tell me anything,
im not sure if a clone would bring up the above errors or not? would a clone still connect to the authenticity server? if its a clone i would send it back but need to know wether it is or isnt, but thanks for your reply.

No mention of sim2 or ferrari on display, when booting display : - ''Boot #80'' then ''DHPC.../FLASH/VMLINUX 9''

tbh mate, its a nightmare trying to tell the difference , as the latest clone 800se with an A8P sim can run genuine images , if I remember correctly the genuine units have the sim card secured in with a black resin/glue, but you need to open it up to check this and even then I wouldn't 100% be convinced, see if you can re-download the genuine auth test plugin from your addons download section or google for the ipk

I've opened up the dm800 and it has a white sim and its got what i can describe as a black hard splodge of melted plastic holdind the sim in place i can see some letters on the sim :-'' Deo'' and under the D is an ''s'' but the rest of the lettering is hidden under the sim holder.
i also ftp the file enigma2-plugin-extensions-genuinedreambox_2.6cvs20090812-r0_mipsel.ipk to temp on box then telnet to install and it said it installed but could'nt see any different plugins in menu on box and same error came back when using the authenticity test, i tryed to install tuxbox from the box menu it said downloading with progress bar but carnt find tuxbox anywhere on box and i think it said 0 files after 100% download then asked to restart witch sends the clock to 0000 and i have to telnet the right time again? hope this helps the splodge is a good sign tho if any pictures can help or any more info i'll try to get back asap Thanks southpaw and any1 else that might like a challange
