ok this is where i am at i got the lads box back to my house plugged it in and got all channels then plugged it back in his house and only got a few so must be his dish?

i then went up ladders and couldnt find the sat finder on the box ? i am using this image http://www.digital-kaos.co.uk/forums...backup-362484/ so i put a channel on that wasnt working and tried moving the dish slightly, pointing it in same direction as his neighbours but still couldnt get the channels working anybody any more ideas? i remeber seeing a post on here a while back about aligning up a dish using an andoid app but i cannot find the post? any ideas would be hugely appreciated cheers peeps

You can move the dish under settings and see if it improves the signal. Under setup go to service searching and then positioner setup and step east then west to see if the signal improves.

      THE TRUTH
      The Hillsborough Independent Panel. 12/09/12

Today's report is black and white. The Liverpool fans were not the cause of the disaster.
The panel has quite simply found 'no evidence' in support of allegations of 'exceptional levels of drunkenness, ticketlessness or violence among Liverpool fans' and 'no evidence that fans had conspired to arrive late at the stadium' and 'no evidence that they stole from the dead and dying'.

Hi, I would not recommend using the receivers internal sat-find function as it is set to find the transponder selected so you may end up getting excellent signal on some channels and a weak on others, I used a TM-500's sat-find function and experienced this issue. The best bet is buy a cheap sat finder or connect a official Sky box to the feed as that worked wonders for me, just get the network ID set so it reads "0002" from the sat (28.2 Astra) and then move it bit by bit until the signal strength and quality bars is at least 3/4 of the way up. You can always fine tune it to get a very decent strength and quality

You need to do a search on Google for this: KrKadoni Enigma Signal Meter this will work on android fine and is easy to setup.

As for aligning the dish with the arrival of 2E on saturday and the channel transition already started it wont matter what transponder you tune it on as literally over the next few weeks all of the channels will be Booming in anyway as they migrate from Astra 2A and 1N

The Arrival of Astra 2E is to replace the very old near 15 years now and past its sell by date which is Astra 2A which will go to the great satellite Graveyard LOL, 1N will be moved as it was originally planned to do and Eutelsat 28A have reached an agreement with SES about renting Transponder space for there channels that are on 28A.

In all eventually all channels should be serviced by 2 satellites Astra 2F and Astra 2E both Brand new and to be joined in a few months by Astra 2G.

Basically it means because they are brand new operating TP power is at Maximum which is Good news for UK viewers as all Channels will be literally equal on power with one another
