Cloud iBox 2 PLUS Backup and Restore

Im having issues with backing up the image and restoring it using backupsuite. I was able to backup and restore images perfectly fine on all other cloud iBox models but this one (cloud iBox 2 Plus), It will back up but won't flash the image once on usb


I backup the image xpeedlx and then put just that folder on usb and then plug usb into the box and turn box on but i see the vfd say "up.." for around 10 seconds and then it just kicks in and takes me to normal tv


Has anyone managed to successfully backup their image preferably openli 4.0 and then flash another cloud iBox plus with their backup-ed image and if yes how was you able to do this?

Hi yes im having the same issue with the cloud ibox 2 plus but im using the vix image from the ibox 3, i dont thing its pached properly

anyone help?

It will never work on the vix, pli or blackhole images.....They are modded from a vu Uno, max digital 1000 and dreambox....
Someone will need to also mod a backup plugin for each of them.....

When you have created the backup, go into the xpeedlx folder and find a file called noforce and rename that to force and try again

That will work for the offical xpeed images, but not on the modded ones....
As said before, the blackhole image is a modded VU Uno image, it shouldn't even run on this box but dose becuse its had its kernal modified......an xpeed lx box wont flash a VU image. The modded images will also need a modded backup plugin or they are rendered useless.

It works perfectly with OpenPLi4 as requested in the first post.

A working backup tool for Cloud iBox 2 Plus

Here's a working version of usb backup tool for this box which I found on Open PLI forums created by user Pedro_Newbie

enigma2-plugin-extensions-backupsuite-xpeed_1.0_mips32el.zip

You need to go to your backup on the usb and change the file noforce to force and the image will reflash back to your box perfectly.

I have only used this on Open PLI 4 no idea if it works on any other images.
