    can not enable mgcamd on openpli (help please)

    Totally fed up with genuine vix image and need to get openpli working.

    This is what I normally do using Vix:

    ftp "enigma2-plugin-cams-mgcamd.1.35a_1.0-r3_mipsel.ipk" to /tmp
    then on remote, blue button, vix,
    install local extension, enigma2-plugin-cams-mgcamd.1.35a_1.0-r3_mipsel.ipk

    Then I ftp

    mg.cfg & newcamd.list to /usr/keys and everything works.
    ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ +++++++++++++++++

    I have done all the above using (OpenPLi-4.0-beta-vusolo-20140224_usb)
    but do not know how to access and enable the softcam, it is showing as blank, is there an idiots guide tut anywhere please.

    openpli forum say do the following "just make sure your receiver is connected to the internet (through your router) and install mgcamd from within OpenPLi's menu's. (settings)"
    which is about as much help as a chocolate fireguard.

    please help someone, driving me nuts

    @spudornage

    Sorry my friend we cannot discuss cams in any great length on the forum due to the Rules Discussions about cardsharing are not allowed, including, but not limited to, cccam, gbox, mbox, etc.

        you are a star, your explanation was clear and concise.

        Their explanation took me into settings, which it was not hence not be able to find it.

        thanks

          thanks for advice, understood.

          The reason I posted was I searched first and found a very very similar question but it did not point me to correct area to obtain what I needed.
          I therefore made the mistake of thinking it was ok

          My apologies
