    Bootloaders??

I had the pleasure of working on a sunray sr4 clone dreambox last week for a friend, but I was wondering why it had an 88 bootloader and not an 84 supplied with it.The more stable images are mostly on 84 and i struggled to get some of the 88 images to work.Your thoughts please?

The 88 Bootloader is only for the new Clone version of the Mark2 box which appears to have More Flash memory and More Ram onboard commonly known as Sim 2.2

would it be wise to leave it as an 88 or can it be changed to use the 84 images? i.e. can you use dream up to change the bootloader?

The 84 bootloader images are designed to work on the Sim 2.1 architecture the same with the Sim 2.2 with its 88 bootloader the receivers are slightly different hardware wise
