DM 800 HD Green Screen

Hi Guys

i have read over a few posts on this forum but didnt want to hijack any so i have started a new one - apologies if this is incorrect.

i have had my DM800 hd for a few years and after a few learning curves years ago with some help of members it has been working flawlessly.

i was watching tennis yesterday and flicked over to F1 and i got tune failed, i was then unable to watch any other channels.

checked my other box upstairs, working fine. re-scanned for channels, it found only about 290 which i thought was low - checked channels and loads missing, bbc1 hd plus loads of regions plus others.

i have tried taking tuner out and re-seating and also left off for day incase it overheated or something magical.

i have tried browsing to it via ftp and browser to see if there is too much in a paricular var folder as per other threads but cant connect to the device as it is stuck booting on green screen.

could anyone advise next steps to potential resolve?

you could always try flashing it again ??

Thanks - i am now able to browse to the box via ftp and browser - is it allowed to advise me on which image to flash? mine is probably 3-4 years old?

do i need to provide you any information regarding the box/sim to help you and if so, how do i find this?

further information, its a sim 201, #82 with blackhole on currently if that helps

when i browse to the ip address in firefox i get a dreambox control rather than a flash firmware page?

so heres an update, got the box to boot into flashable format, uploaded black hole, downloaded cccam and went to scan and it said no tuner but wouldnt let me configure one.

i rebooted thinking that the flash and/or ccam would need a reboot, sometimes to goes to green screen, sometimes it goes to boot up but reboots with flashing red light on box

any advice muchly appreciated.

Did it say in Tuner Config Tuner A Empty by any chance?

Hi Andy,

previous to flash it said there was a tuner and let me search but without any success.

now it says tuner a empty yes and i couldnt find a way to add it?

Update : I left box off overnight and tried again this morning and when I power it on - the lcd screen stays blank and fan spins up..

your problem seems to indicate either a faulty tuner or motherboard problems , a blank lcd display is not a good sign tho and so im more inclined to think the problem is a faulty motherboard .
