    DM800 PVR with Original Sly Card

    I have a clone DM800PVR running a DreamboxUk image and it has been working fine until recently.

    I am aware the Sly HD channels have gone, but i am unable to even get Sly Movies and Sports in SD. I do get MTV and other PPV channels and I know the SLy card is all working as expected as i placed in an original Sly box and all the movie and sport channels work fine.

    I presume i should be able to get all the SD channels, but i just get a black screen. I have tried a number of different bouquets but still the same issue.

    I have also considered putting the OPENPLI image on the box to see if that was the issue, but can not find the correct image for a clone DM800 PVR, so if you could provide a link it would be appreciated.

      I am afraid you have become a victim of the Hardware Pairing ID procedure which is explained in this thread here from 2012: http://www.digital-kaos.co.uk/forums...d-nigh-307225/

      The Bad news is no matter what image you try the premium Movies and Sports channels are locked to your original receiver and it is impossible to get them working in any other 3rd party receiver

          Ah... OK say....

          I contact Sly and change the subscription on this card to SD rather than HD and ask them to send me a new card as this one has been lost. Then pair this new card to a different SD Sly receiver? Will that change things...

              Yes it probably will but you will also draw more attention to yourself than you actually need to just for the sake of running the card in a 3rd party receiver
