    Worth buying HD boxes?

is it even worth buying HD boxes anymore in the UK? other than to just watch the Free to air HD channels?

i was looking forward to the GigaBlue HD Quad...

But as there is no more HD channels available is there any point?

    what do u guys think???..

If you had said Open/Skybox then its a valid point as they are pretty much Closed source crippled receivers, Linux E2 on the other hand has far more potential if your willing to put the work in, as one of your previous threads stated about TSmedia you also have XBMC and IPTV plugins as well as others that can fill the HD void, Obviously watching a live $ HD broadcast would require you accessing other satellites with your dish

i see what u mean but my sky dish is really really high! up there .... and dont really the option to move the dish +++ all my cables for cable, satellite, terrestrial, networking are hidden under the plaster and floorboards and i cant, dont wanna drill any holes or stretch wires as ive tried very hard to hide them

but generally talking, to 70% or more of the audience i think it may be useless... a little bit of a waste

      just my thoughts.

70% must be stuck on 1 location ,hell yes nothing better than hd,if you dont adjust for future things you will get left in the past with sd,add a motorised setup to expand your sat reach.
