Converting DM800HD to cable

Hi.
Hope you can help.
I've just converted my Dreambox 800 HD to cable.
The tuner fitted ok as is enabled.
The problem is when i scan for channels, it wont find anything.
Ive read various posts about setting up the tuner configuration.
Still no joy.
Ive uploaded a recent cable.xml file too.

Have you set the xml file to chmod 755?
All you should need to do in tuner config is input your netID and your symbol rate
Also sparky I have just noticed those Goggles you are wearing may be impairing your vision Haha

Decent Pli image in downloads by Smirnoff Rules all geared up to go with cable xml already installed.
Just add net id and do a step scan find a working channel and run auto bouquets. Job Done.

A bit old that image andy, personally I would flash it with openATV 4.2 oe2 also gives you more access to more and better plugins
especially TSmedia.
You will of course need to move the plugins to your pen drive with plugin mover.

Always make sure which box you have clone or original here's the files you will need to put it right.

Your right its an old Openpli image but Auto Bouquets works fine without having to chmod 755 everything and TS Media works fine on it so there's enough on it for the average punter.

Regarding that image even though its for a sim 2.01 I found I had to flash bootloader 84b followed by image and bootloader again or I got No Ca Found.
I did put that in the notes in downloads.

Thanks again for your replies.
I shouldn`t have rushed flashing it.
Once i reflash it and the cable tuner still finds no channels im gonna send the tuner back.
Just gotta wait for the delivery of a serial - usb lead now

andy91 is correct you will need to flash 84b bootloader as i done the same as yourself a while back.

if you are a newbie to cable its confusing as was to me go into tuner configuration in network id put all 00000 unless you know what net id you are in provider should say uk cable or very similar dependant on image if you do a scan it should find your channels approx 500 dependant on area the chanels will not clear until you enter net id

i wish i had got my cable from maplins as they give you the drivers from xp up to win7 i belive, saves a lot of hassle finding drivers as it took me ages to find the correct ones for the usb lead i got.
