no tuner a

done something wrong(again) put a hdd in my 800hd and have lost my tuner,got no signal strength at all,when i go into service searching i get"Tuner A N/A (empty) nothing" have done factory reset, flashed about 10 different images all to no avail, have tried a different TV tuner that i know is ok, at the mo i'm flomaxed

You may have disturbed the contacts on the tuner mate open it up and give the tuner a gentle wiggle and see if that helps, maybe even remove it and re seat it.
If that is'nt working remove the HDD and start again.
Also try another Power supply unit as they can be troublesome as well.

have tried all of that,i know its not lnb as tried spare box and that's working ok have just tested all my tuners(3) and they are working ok in my other box GRRRRRH!

Just put HDD into box and all working perfect now! weird or what. was working ok without HDD installed before grrrrrh!

got to thinking today,might not have recognized tuner because EPG etc was on the HDD instead of usb

I store my epg data on my hdd vu+duo and it works fine with open pli 4.0
