    dm800 PVR Questions

I have never seen a Dreambox before, never heard of one until a couple of days ago. Anyway, my Sky HD box has just died and I am thinking of replacing it but I am not too happy about the whole closed environment of the Sky boxes. I am thinking of getting a suitable dreambox replacement but I have some questions.

    - Is anyone using the new White Sky cards with a dreambox, I have gathered that ccam will read it but there are some issues with power to the reader and clock speed. Has anyone over come this?
    - Is the 800HD/PVR got HDMI out or just DVI, also is there optical out? Belive it or no I can't get an answer to this anywhere.
    - The descipriotn seems to say hard drive ready, implying there is no hdd shipped, is this correct?
    - Is the EPG/Planner comparable to the Sky box?
    - Finally, is there any real benifit to going the dm route over Sky or should I just stick with what I have? I have plenty of Linux experience and I would prefer to have access to the box if possible

    Thanks

1)YEah white card works directly with CCcam will need original box though to get boxkey.
    2) The DM800 comes with a DVI-HDMI cable so its sorted, there is noHDMI out though, yes there is a optical out.
    3) there is no HDD included in these recievers
    4) The EPG is okay nothing on sky's though if were being honest

      Thanks.
So you don't see any problem with the blue Sky cards and White Sky cards running at different voltage in the reader?

Also, DVI won't send sound too, which is a pitty. HDMI will send sound and audio.

No New CCcam 2.1.3 supports these, and its DVI-D so it has audio support on it
