Is there any image which make it possible to record on Transcend?

All i tried dont see the disk ,allthough all of them see usb sticks!

I assume that Transcend has no separate power supply, but expects supply from USB, right? Try finding cheapest USB hub with separate power supply, it should do the job. However, for recording You should insert mount line for it in /etc/fstab file when Transcend becames visible for the DM800. Best solution for recording with DM800 is internal 2,5" SATA HDD. Some people report problems with external USB and ESATA drives because of sleep or stand-by timers.

Is it possible to browse to \\dm800ipaddress\ from your pc and see the external drive? I know I can see my internal one.

          Cheers
